No Late Applications will be accepted.
The District/Authority Scholarships recognize graduating students for excellence in their chosen areas of interest or strength. These scholarships are intended to help students pursue post-secondary education. Areas of excellence must pertain to course work with Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary.
The Ministry of Education District/Authority Award is a $1250 voucher that can be used toward post-secondary education tuition.
Candidates must:
EXCELLENCE and outstanding achievement in any of the following.
Specialty Areas and Sub Areas includes:
Concentration of courses taken in a particular area and excellence achieved in all regards: grades, attendance, work habits, cooperation is necessary for a successful application

- be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (landed immigrant)
- be enrolled at Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary this school year and have fulfilled their graduation requirements
- have exhibited good citizenship, contributing positively to our school community
- have not previously received a District/Authority award or a District/Authority scholarship
EXCELLENCE and outstanding achievement in any of the following.

- INDIGENOUS LANGUAGES AND CULTURE (Aboriginal studies)
- FINE ARTS (Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music)
- APPLIED SKILLS (Business Education, Technology Education, Home Economics)
- PHYSICAL ACTIVITY (Athletics, Physical Education, Academies)
- INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES (French, French Immersion, Spanish)
- TECHNICAL and TRADES TRAINING (District Partnership Programs)
- COMMUNITY SERVICE (Must Provide List of Signed Service Hours)
